Building bright futures.
We are working hard to build the best learning environment.
The first step was finding the right space. After looking and looking I immediately could envisioned our center when I toured our current location on Cottage Grove Rd.
Once we had a the perfect spot, it was time to plan the layout. I decided on an open layout, it provides a greater sense of community and fosters collaboration and partnership.
In design, I wanted everything to be be child size, accessible and safe. It was important it also felt like home. In selecting a color palette, bright natural and neutral colors create warmth and light but being aware of over stimulation.
Incorporating natural elements and textures give the space a warm and inviting feeling. As we moved forward on the project design changes needed to be made for feasibility and to stay within budget. It was hard to cut the trees in the rendering seen to the side, but stay tuned to see how I was still able to incorporate natural elements with decor.
This has been the hardest phase so far. Before work has even started we have had 3 big delays.
First supply chain issues, then city permitting and finally unexpected needed building repairs.
